Billboard News : Pink's 'Glass' Rises to No. 1 On Hot 100

Pink's 'Glass' Rises to No. 1 On Hot 100

P!nk is set to celebrate her third Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 on the chart to be released on Thursday (Dec. 2), as "Raise Your Glass" rises 2-1.

The singer was last atop the list in September 2008 for a single week, with "So What." P!nk's first Hot 100 chart-topper came in 2001 on the collaborative "Lady Marmalade," which included star turns by Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim and Mya.

"Raise Your Glass" also moves up from 5-2 on Digital Songs (209,000, up 22%) while bulleting at No. 6 for a second week on Radio Songs. The track is one of two new selections on P!nk's "Greatest Hits…So Far!!!" album, which contains eight of her 10 top 10 hits in a career that dates back to 2000. The only absentee top 10 tracks on the set are the aforementioned "Marmalade" and "Most Girls" (No. 4, 2000).

"Raise Your Glass" continues a revolving door atop the Hot 100, as it's the fifth title to occupy the No. 1 slot in five weeks, a turnover rate not seen in more than 20 years. Eight titles led over eight weeks in September to November 1990.

"Glass" displaces "Only Girl (In the World)" by Rihanna (1-3), which succeeded Far*East Movement's "Like a G6"(3-7), "What's My Name?" by Rihanna featuring Drake (8-5) and "We R Who We R" by Ke$ha (4-6). "Like a G6" had spent two prior weeks at No. 1 before this current avalanche of chart kings..

Rihanna's "What's My Name?," meanwhile, claims the chart's Airplay Gainer award for a fifth consecutive week. She was also part of the last track to have such a lengthy run as the Airplay Gainer when Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie," on which she was featured, rang up five straight weeks this summer.

Katy Perry's "Firework" maneuvers into the No. 2 slot on the Hot 100, climbing four spots. The song moves 4-1 on Digital Songs (232,000, up 32%) to become the third chart-topper from her "Teenage Dream" album to top the sales list following "California Gurls," featuring Snoop Dogg, and the title cut.

Bruno Mars places two titles in the Hot 100 top 10, as "Grenade" (17-10) joins his former No. 1 "Just the Way You Are" in the upper tier. "Grenade" is the chart's top Digital Gainer, shifting 164,000 (up 64%) to rise 13-6 on Digital Songs. "Just the Way You Are" rebounds 7-4 as digital sales improve (126,000, up 43%) on the heels of the song being covered by the "Glee" Cast on the show's Nov. 23 episode. The "Glee" version debuts at No. 40 on the Hot 100 and sells 70,000 downloads.

Nelly's "Just a Dream" dips 5-8 on the Hot 100, and the Black Eyed Peas jump into the top 10 with "The Time (Dirty Bit)" (13-9). The latter song is the act's seventh consecutive chart hit to reach the top 10.

The Hot Shot Debut comes from Enrique Iglesias, who arrives at No. 18 with "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)," featuring Ludacris & DJ Frank E, which is also available digitally in an explicit version. The new song follows up Iglesias' first top 10 hit in nine years, "I Like It."
