Who Is Charice ?
Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco born May 10, 1992. Best known as Charice (a portmanteau of her first two names) or Charice Pempengco, is a Filipina international singer who rose to popularity through YouTube.
Pempengco was born in Laguna, Philippines. She and her younger brother, Carl, were raised solely by their mother, Raquel Relucio, after they left their father due to domestic violence when Pempengco was three years old.
To help support the family, she began competing in amateur singing contests at age seven, from town fiestas in provinces of Laguna and Batangas to several vocal competitions on TV. She is said to have joined over 80 singing contests.
In 2005, Pempengco joined Little Big Star, a talent show in the Philippines loosely patterned after American Idol. Eliminated after her first performance, she was later called back as a wildcard contender and eventually became a finalist. Although she was a consistent top scorer in the final rounds, she only finished in third place based on text voting.
Pempengco made minor appearances in local television shows and TV commercials, but essentially had fallen off the radar after her stint at Little Big Star. It was not until 2007 that Pempengco gained worldwide recognition after an avid supporter started posting videos of her live performances onto YouTube under the username FalseVoice. The videos received millions of hits making Pempengco an internet phenomenon.

has just released a worldwide album, first single from her album is Pyramid. Charice duet with Iyaz in this song. I really liked this song. I give 5 stars for this song. What about you??
Charice album debut in number 8 in Billboard 200. In the third week, Charice album dropped to number 55 whereas in the second week Charice can hold on in number 28, dropped 20 spot in the second week and in third week dropped 27 spot.
In the Billboard Hot 100 chart, I found Charice in the number of about 90-100. While I'm checking now, I'm not finding Charice song in Billboard Hot 100. In my opinion, this song deserve landed at least in top 20 Billboard Hot 100.
In Asian chart, Charice just entering V Countdown and in MTV Chart Attack not yet, but you can vote for Charice in MTV Chart Attack. I hope in Asia Charice more shinning. She really talented artist in very young age. Go Charice Go!! Conquer the world with Ur music haha... ^^ (Update : in V countdown this week Charice become a highest jump this week by jump 7 spot to number 8 from number 15, great job Charice and fans of Charice!!) ^^
The lyric of the song "Pyramid" also good in my opinion. It’s tells about tough love, sturdy love, true love, and can’t be destroyed by anything like a Pyramid. I liked this word, “Mother nature (hey) or disaster won't stop at happy ever after” & this "There'll never be another love for sure". When I heard this song carefully and feel it, I really feel a goosebumps.
