Florence and the Machine (often stylised as Florence + the Machine) is the recording name of British indie rock artist Florence Welch and a collaboration of other artists who provide backing music for her voice. Florence and the Machine's sound has been described as a combination of various genres, including rock and soul. The band's music has received praise across the music media before they gained mainstream success, especially from the BBC who played a large part in Florence and the Machine's rise to prominence by promoting her as part of BBC Introducing.
The band's debut album, Lungs, was released on 6 July 2009, and held the No. 2 position for its first five weeks in the UK Album Chart. On 17 January 2010, the album reached No. 1 on the UK album chart, having remained in the chart for 28 consecutive weeks up until that point. The album has been within the top 40 in the United Kingdom for 65 consecutive weeks, making it one of the best selling albums of 2009 and 2010 so far. At the 2010 BRIT Awards, Lungs won the "Mastercard British Album" award. Florence and the Machine performed at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.
The winner of best art direction in a video in MTV Video Music Award hasn't really famous in Asia. Although like that, I'm crazy in love with this song. The song is really unique, feels so different and really nice to heard although I'm not really like in the beginning and seems don't want to heard this song, but everything is change when Florence + The Machine
got five nominations in MTV Video Music Award and perform in that music award event, from that I'm crazy in love with this song.The video.... of course great and I really liked it!!... The reason this video was great because this video got nomination in MTV Video Music Award, the video who got nominations in that music award definitely has a good video because It is the choice of experts who are experts in their fields. I liked the video lot!!! the video doesn't have a story, but still good to watched because the make up, the wardrobe, the effects, the ornaments, every thing is great and definitely deserve got the award for best in art direction. Very art video and really great direction!!!!
I think this song from Florence + The Machine can get a lot nominations in Grammy Awards, and deserve win at least one or two awards. Just my opinion.... :D
